6/14/2008 - The Grapevine Delegation has arrived!  Check out the updated images...

Beyond the sounds of bagpipes and traditional folklore dance, West Lothian, Scotland breathes a deep heritage. Creating the newest sister city relationship with Grapevine, West Lothian is famously known for Linlithgow Palace, the birth place of Mary Queen of Scots. The Palace is now a historical attraction and offers visitors the chance to explore its mystifying and elaborate interior. Next to the palace is the 13th century Saint Michael’s church that is still used as a place of worship.

West Lothian is located midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh and its countryside boasts of some of the most picturesque views in Scotland. Much like Grapevine, West Lothian retains its sense of small town charm and historic richness despite modern developments around its boundaries. It offers visitors a range of shopping, dining and leisure experiences whether they are stopping for a short visit or a staying for a long holiday.
