Palace Arts Center
Page: 1 of 6

Located just minutes away from DFW Airport in the center of the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex in historic downtown Grapevine, is the newly restored Palace Arts Center. This state-of-the-art center is a flexible, multi-use facility with over 15,000 square feet for entertaining.

Threatened with closure in 1991, the historic Palace Theatre, built in 1940, was acquired by the Grapevine Heritage Foundation to preserve the building from ultimate demolition. The Palace served as the premiere entertainment venue for all of Northeast Tarrant County for many years. The Palace Theatre is an Art Deco style building prominently situated on Grapevine’s historic Main Street. The 1930’s Buckner Cash Grocery Store, now the Lancaster Theatre, which was also acquired by the Foundation, has been restored to its Spanish Mediterranean style design.

The Gem of Main Street, the Palace Arts Center provides visitors a unique opportunity to experience the warmth of downtown’s turn-of-the-century atmosphere recognized by the National Register of Historic Places. The Palace Arts Center facility provides for performances, visual arts and unique settings for business meetings, banquets, parties and receptions.

The Palace Theatre has a large stage area for music, dance, drama, and film. The 435 seats feature 11 love seats and balcony seating. The stage features light and scenery grids along with green rooms and dressing rooms.

The Lancaster Theatre is a flexible performance area for black box theater, with seating for 175 people or a banquet hall facility that can accommodate up to 160 guests for a seated dinner. The on-site kitchen caters to any number of guests and features a refrigerator, stove, preparation areas and a convenient ice machine.

The Lancaster Theatre has lighting grids for performances, along with spacious dressing rooms.  This multi-use space is ideal for small-emerging performance groups, student musical recitals, dinner theater, meetings, receptions, and traditional luncheon/dinner programs.
