20th Annual Pug-O-ween
Activities include a silent auction, a pug adoption parade, costume parade and pug races.
DFW Pug Rescue Club is the largest Pug rescue organization in the United States and has rescued and placed over 6,500 huggable, squeezable, absolutely adorable Pugs to date — we rescue approximately 10 Pugs per week. We rescue ALL Pugs regardless of age or medical condition. Since we rescue ALL pugs, veterinary care is the biggest on-going expense even after the deep discounts our veterinarian care clinics provide.
Become a Sponsor
It's our 20th Annual Pug-O-Ween, so we are making it special and expecting a huge crowd! DFW Pug Rescue Club, Inc. invites you to be a sponsor of this exciting event on October 23 at Grapevine Convention Center. DFW Pug Rescue Club is an all-volunteer, foster-based charitable organization founded in 1997 for the purpose of providing rescue, care, and adoption of unwanted, mistreated, or homeless Pugs in Texas.
This has been an extraordinary year for DFW Pug Rescue Club. In July we partnered with K9 Mill Rescue to save the lives of 34 breeder Pugs in northeast Texas. It was the largest one-time rescue event in our history. As a result of this emergency influx of Pugs, we are expecting veterinary expenses to stretch our budget and reach historic highs. We are depending on proceeds from Pug-O-Ween to offset these veterinary expenses and we need your help. We currently have a total of 42 Pugs under veterinary care and 52 in foster homes awaiting adoption. Even with the record high number of rescued Pugs, we have successfully placed 150 in safe, loving homes and expect that number to double by the end of the year.
We are offering a variety of sponsor levels and benefits for you to consider this year. We look forward to welcoming you as a sponsor of the 20th Annual Pug-O-Ween. All sponsors will be acknowledged on the DFW Pug Rescue Club website and Facebook profile. With over 26,000 weekly visits to our Facebook, your contribution will be noticed by the pet-friendly community, donors, and our volunteers.
