New Vintage Wine & Gallery Trail and the Blessing of the Vines
Take part of a tradition enjoyed by true wine aficionados for centuries.
The Blessing of the Vines, a centuries-old European blessing performed by a priest to celebrate the new harvest, robust vines and savory grapes, will be held as part of the New Vintage Wine Trail on April 12, 2014. The ceremony begins with a colorful procession through Delaney Vineyards, largest vineyard in North Texas and is followed by a complimentary wine tasting and live entertainment. The priest will bless the vines for the 2014 harvest, as well as bless the new release wines from crops from previous years. The Blessing of the Vines event is free and begins at 11 a.m.
