July 4th in Grapevine

From fireworks to Nash Farm to grape stomping and more, Grapevine is the place to be to celebrate America's birthday!

On Monday, July 4th, Grapevine celebrates in true patriotic style with the 34th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza. This 26-minute fireworks spectacular begins at 9:30 p.m. This year's show is set to be the biggest one ever and will take place at Oak Grove Park.

Step into the world of 65 million+ years ago and Be the Dinosaur inside the air conditioned Grand Gallery. This groundbreaking exhibit is a fusion of state-of-the-art video game technology and traditional exhibits, featuring full-size dinosaur bones, a paleontology field station, a Safari Jeep and more. Visitors of all ages can enter into the largest and most complex restoration of an extinct ecosystem ever created.

Before the fireworks, hop aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad's Independence Day Train. On Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, celebrate the holiday on the 1 p.m. route to the Fort Worth Stockyards featuring the Great Train Robberies' group of outlaws and deputies. This route returns to Grapevine at approximately 5:45 p.m. Also on Friday, riders can enjoy the T-Rex Express departing at 10 a.m. This one hour continuous ride is perfect for younger guests. Or hop aboard in the Stockyards for the Trinity River Run at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with an approximate return to the Stockyards at 3:45 p.m. More information

Head out to Grapevine's Nash Farm to enjoy the First Fridays at the Farm series Keeping Cool event on July 1 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Experience how early Texans would keep cool during the hot days of summer. Take part in making hand-cranked ice cream, watermelon seed spitting contest, water bucket relay and more. Participation fee is $3 per person and Nash Farm is handicap accessible.
