CELEBRATE TEXAS WINE MONTH IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN GRAPEVINE

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (October 12, 2018) Across the state of Texas, the month of October is known as Texas Wine Month, a 31-day-long celebration of Texas wines and the Texas Wine Industry. As the fifth-largest wine-producing state in the United States, Texas continues to reach new heights. Grapevine is the headquarter location of the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association, home to the Urban Wine Trail, composed of nine tasting rooms, and hosts GrapeFest® - A Texas Wine Experience, the largest wine festival in the Southwest, held annually in September.

With the Urban Wine Trail the epicenter of wine culture in North Texas, Grapevine serves as a trendsetter and leader with award-winning wineries and winemakers. Surrounded by delectable dining, exciting attractions and luxurious resort hotels, the trail features nine unique tasting rooms ranging from rustic to contemporary.

GrapeFest, which coincides with the start of the grape harvest, is a 33-year-old celebration of Texas wine. Guests can attend the most popular event of the festival, the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic, which is the largest consumer-judged wine competition in the nation. Here, they can savor the flavors of more than 140 Texas wines from more than 30 Texas wineries. Guests can vote for their favorite wine across ten categories, with winners announced on the final day of the festival.

Guests of GrapeFest also have the opportunity to sample featured wines from an international wine region and another U.S. wine region within the Liberty Park Plaza Wine Experience.

As Texas Wine Month continues, gather your friends and family for a getaway and discover award-winning crisp whites, fruit-forward rosés and complex red wines in Historic Downtown Grapevine.
