GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (March 9, 2016) - Enjoy wine, fine art and more at Grapevine's 24th Annual Blessing of the Vines and New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail, presented by Park Place Dealerships, on Saturday, April 9. With tradition and flair, Grapevine celebrates new release wines, beautiful works of art and good times with friends.

Begin the day at Grapevine's Delaney Vineyards at the Blessing of the Vines. Dignitaries and guests walk with a mariachi band through the beautiful Delaney Vineyards and experience a centuries-old European blessing performed by a priest. The priest will bless the 2016 vines, ensuring a bountiful harvest. After the blessing, enjoy live entertainment as well as a complementary wine tasting. The Blessing of the Vines event begins at 11 a.m. and is free for all ages. Delaney Vineyards is located at 2000 Champagne Blvd. in Grapevine.

As a special treat, PBS' "The Daytripper" Chet Garner will be signing autographs and greeting fans before the Blessing of the Vines, beginning at 10 a.m. at Delaney Vineyards. "The Daytripper" is seen in Dallas/Fort Worth on KERA Channel 13 and on PBS stations throughout Texas and the United States. "The Daytripper" encourages Texans to travel and discover all of the exciting things to do in the Lone Star State. Garner will be participating in the procession through the Vineyards and his fans are encouraged to join him. He will be available to greet fans for a limited time after the Blessing of the Vines.

After the Blessing of the Vines, the celebration continues on the New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail. All tickets must be picked up at Delaney Vineyards, 2000 Champagne Blvd. Taste a variety of wines at Grapevine's winery tasting rooms and enjoy beautiful works of art throughout the city. As you stroll along Main Street in Historic Downtown Grapevine, see beautiful works of art at Grapevine's Palace Arts Center at 300 S. Main St.; the Grand Gallery and Tower Gallery at the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau Headquarters at 636 S. Main St. and at galleries and fine art working studios throughout the city.

Register for the Designated Driver Program. Guests who register receive complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages at each winery visited on April 9. In addition, those who register will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket overflowing with fabulous gifts from Grapevine merchants, a more than $500 value. Drivers must register at Delaney Vineyards on April 9. The drawing will take place on Monday, April 11. The winner will be notified by email or phone.

Tickets for the New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail are $49 per person and include three wine tastings at each of Grapevine's winery tasting rooms, food offerings, live entertainment and a commemorative wine glass. The New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail begins at Delaney Vineyards and runs from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Participants must be at least 21 years of age.
