SummerBlast features fun for all including waterparks, Friday Night Fireworks, Lake Grapevine and more. Be Dazzled by Friday Night Fireworks: Grapevine’s Friday Night Fireworks* light up the North Texas sky every Friday Night beginning July 12 through September 20. Sparks will fly in a beautiful show reflecting over Lake Grapevine starting at 9:30 p.m. Don’t miss the exhilarating 12-minute shows sure to dazzle and excite. *Due to high lake levels on Lake Grapevine, Friday Night Fireworks were delayed. Friday Night Fireworks shows are scheduled for July 12, 19 and 26; August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; September 6, 13 and 20. Become a Hero at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center: Join the ranks of the police force and become a LEGO City Hero creating rescue scenes with exclusive build activities, heroic character experiences, interactive photo opportunities and more, exclusively at LEGOLAND Discovery Center at Grapevine Mills. Be part of the 4D action in “LEGO City 4D – Officer In Pursuit!” when a hapless LEGO City police officer bumps into a mischievous wanted criminal. The 3D film plays several times a day in the theater with “4D” effects such as wind, water and more, causing the action to burst off the screen and into the audience. Mermaids Under the Sea at SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium: Watch an enchanted show take place this summer at SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium! This magical show features mermaids performing underwater in the aquarium’s 160,000-gallon ocean tank alongside sharks, sea turtles and more. Once the mermaids are back on dry land, guests have the opportunity for a special meet-and-greet which includes a photo op and a pledge to love the ocean. All mermaid appearances and meet-and-greets are included with the price of admission. Make Way for Peppa Pig World of Play: Cool off this summer at the newest Grapevine attraction! Peppa Pig World of Play is a new indoor play center allowing children to step into the exciting world of Peppa Pig and have fun with their favorite little piggy in a special setting packed full of oink-tastic activities. With 14 themed areas to choose from inside the permanent indoor attraction, kids can jump, laugh, play and giggle with their favorite pig! All Aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad: Step back in time and climb aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad! Now through November 24, ride in style inside 1920s Victorian-era coaches on the Grapevine to Fort Worth Stockyards Excursion every Saturday and Sunday with check-in times of 12:45 p.m. and return times of approximately 6:15 p.m. One Saturday* Grapevine One-Hour Train Excursion remains – Saturday, June 29 – with a check-in time of 9:45 a.m., returning at approximately 11:15 a.m. Celebrate the red, white and blue on Thursday, July 4 with the Fourth of July Train! This patriotic excursion departs for the Fort Worth Stockyards with a check-in time of 12:45 p.m. All New for 2019: Experience Grapevine’s Sail the Rails Excursion, the Swashbuckler Express! The Swashbuckler Express has check-in times of 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on Fridays between July 5 and August 16. These excursions will be approximately one hour in length and have interactive activities onboard. Sparkle Anew and Celebrate the Red, White and Blue: On Thursday July 4, celebrate America’s birthday at Grapevine’s 37th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza. This festive, 30-minute firework spectacular is set to patriotic music and is the perfect way to celebrate America’s birthday. Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, A Pirate’s Life for Me: Enter a realm of storybook pirates and create, explore, and play in a world of legendary adventure at PIRATES! A Whimsical Adventure located in the Tower Gallery inside Grapevine’s Visitor Information Center. Dress up in your pirate best and climb aboard a pirate ship play structure to enact your own adventure tales or splash around on the water play tables. Be sure to visit Wendy's room before grabbing some pixie dust and flying over to check out the 800-square-foot pirate-themed model train display by Lone Star Hi-Railers. Adventure and imagination meet with multiple STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)-oriented activities. Three Cheers for Grapevine Pioneers: Step back in time with Grapevine’s exciting hands-on educational SummerBlast experience, Grapevine Pioneers, which takes place throughout Grapevine’s Historic District. Now until September 1, experience the life of a pioneer on the Grape Vine Prairie by taking part in a total of eight 1800s skills and trades activities spread across five museums and historic sites. Begin your journey at either Nash Farm (626 Ball St.) or Grapevine’s Visitor Information Center (636 S. Main St.) where you can purchase the official Grapevine Pioneer Field Journal for $12 (a $28 value). The Field Journal includes tickets for eight activities, as well as a complimentary matinée admission to the Historic Palace Theatre’s Summer Movie Series, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, starting June 11. Explore Grapevine’s Nash Farm: Step back in time and explore the lives of the earliest settlers at Grapevine’s Nash Farm. Purchased by Thomas Jefferson Nash in 1859, Nash Farm brings history to life through a series of interpretive programs. First Fridays at the Farm highlight different aspects of farm life. Summer First Friday events include June 7: Fun on the Farm, July 5: Keeping Cool and August 2: Meme’s Pickles. All First Fridays at the Farm events are 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and require a $3 per person participation fee. Work alongside Nash Farmhands to learn heritage skills during monthly Heritage Workshops.
