GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (November 5, 2019) – Salute military veterans at the annual Veterans Day Parade, Saturday, November 9 at 10 a.m. in Historic Downtown Grapevine. Veterans and citizens alike are invited to experience this meaningful day for our country’s military servicemen and women. Each year, a military-related group is selected to be honored during the parade. This year, Grapevine will honor and give thanks to Gold Star Families with Pamela Savoie, president of American Gold Star Mothers Red River Chapter, serving as Grand Marshal.

Veterans and veteran groups will display their patriotism during the parade, including World War II veteran Bob Moffatt who fought in the Battle of Okinawa. Grapevine’s many civic and service organizations will show their support for our nation’s veterans as well.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Main and West Hudgins Streets and will travel north along Main Street. The route will turn east on East Wall Street, where the parade will end at East Wall and Jenkins Streets. Free parking will be available throughout Historic Downtown Grapevine. Special photo opportunities will be available throughout the event.

Also taking place on Saturday, November 9, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., will be the Veterans Fair, hosted by VFW Post 10454 Grapevine and the City of Grapevine.
