GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (October 25, 2018) – On Saturday, November 3, historic properties will be open to the public during Grapevine’s 12th Annual Candlelight Tour of Homes, presented by the Grapevine Heritage Foundation. Beginning at 4 p.m., participants can pick-up wristbands and tour books at the Ted R. Ware Plaza, 206 W. Hudgins St., and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine courtesy of Homestead Winery. Tickets are $15 per person.

This year’s tour features five historic properties, including three homes in the Historic Township, one of which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places; one home in the D.E. Box Addition Historic District; and one business located on Northwest Highway. Tour participants can walk the tour route and also ride the complimentary shuttle buses circulating throughout the tour. A Candlelight Tour of Homes sign and pair of hanging lanterns will identify the featured properties along the tour route. As participants stroll through the Historic Township and Box Addition Historic District, owners and docents will be present to greet all participants and discuss the history and distinguishing characteristics of their properties. The homes and business date from 1924 to 2018. The Candlelight Tour of Homes concludes at 7 p.m.
