Juried Sculpture Show Opens in Grapevine September 23
Works by members of the Texas Sculpture Association to be Shown at Grapevine CVB Headquarters
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (September 20, 2012) - The Grapevine Convention & Visitor's Bureau announces the opening of a juried sculpture show featuring works by members of the Texas Sculpture Association. This is the third art exhibit that will be showcased in the Tower Gallery located in the new Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) building.
The free show will feature 33 artists' work of 85 sculptures. Virtually every possible medium is represented in amazing works ranging from wire, clay, metal, bronze, glass, concrete, stone, wood, fabric and even pasta. The show will delight and inspire artists, art collectors and art appreciators of all ages. Prizes will be awarded to the top sculptures. Many of the local Grapevine merchants will be choosing their favorite pieces as well.
The show will be open September 23, 2012 through November 2. A special wine and cheese artist reception will be held in celebration of the show on September 29 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
The Texas Sculpture Association will celebrate its' 30th year in January 2013 and boasts a membership of over 160 sculptors.
The show will be open to the public, Mondays - Fridays, 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Sundays, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. The Grapevine CVB is located at 636 S. Main St.
