FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEE THE COURTROOM DRAMA 12 ANGRY MEN AT GRAPEVINE'S HISTORIC PALACE THEATRE

Grapevine, Texas (December 20, 2011) - The defense and the prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young, Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father. The young man is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and if convicted, he will receive the death sentence. What begins as an open and shut case of murder soon becomes a mini-drama of each of the jurors' prejudices and preconceptions about the trial, the accused and each other. With tempers rising and a life in their hands, what will the jurors' final verdict be? Find out Friday, January 6, at 7:30 p.m. on the big screen at the Palace Theatre in Historic Downtown Grapevine.

12 Angry Men, released in 1957 and directed by Sidney Lumet, was adapted from a teleplay of the same name by Reginald Rose. Notable stars in the film include Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb and Martin Balsam. It was nominated for Academy Awards in the categories of Best Director, Best Picture and Best Writing of Adapted Screenplay. Also, the film is the American Film Institute's number two courtroom drama in their 10 Top 10 category of movies.

In addition, the Palace Theatre will give one free, small popcorn to anyone showing a same day receipt from any Grapevine restaurant.
