Start Your GrapeFest Celebration at Pre-Festival Special Events

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (August 20, 2013) - GrapeFest fans will want to get an early start in celebrating the 27th Annual GrapeFest, September 12, 13, 14 and 15. Several pre-festival events offer new ways to discover the fun of GrapeFest.

Discover the fun of celebrating the fruit of the Texas vine at the Texas Wine Tribute on Saturday, September 7 at 6:30 p.m. New this year at the Texas Wine Tribute, the first "Tall in Texas" Award will be presented to an individual winery that has been instrumental in promoting Texas wines and the Texas wine industry. Messina Hof Winery of Bryan, TX has been named the inaugural "Tall in Texas" Award winner, celebrating their contribution to the growth and development of the Texas Wine Industry. Also on Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., discover ItalianCarFest. Held at Grapevine's Nash Farm, 626 Ball St., the Italian Car Club of the Southwest will showcase the finest Italian cars in the Southwest. This annual event features 80 automobiles, some valued at near $500,000, as well as 20 two-wheelers. Admission and parking are free and the event is from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Discover the fun of the fairway at the GrapeFest Golf Tournament. This four person scramble, played on Monday, September 9 at the Grapevine Golf Course, benefits Grapevine Golf Association who provides scholarships to Grapevine-Colleyville students seeking college scholarships.
