Grapevine, Texas (April 10, 2012) - On Friday, April 20, Grapevine's Historic Palace Theatre will be the backdrop for the 2nd Annual Taking Care of Mother Earth Expo from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. As part of the festivities, make sure to enjoy the evening at the Palace Theatre with the classic film The Day the Earth Stood Still.
It's the 1950s and an alien (Klaatu), along with his mighty bodyguard robot (Gort), land their spaceship on Earth and come with an important message for the people of earth and its leaders. Injured by an eager soldier, Klaatu is admitted to the hospital and quickly immersed in true human experiences. When suspicions start to arise about Klaatu, he is forced to reveal his true intentions: choose peace or destruction. What will be happen to Klaatu and his new friends? Find out at the Palace Theatre on April 20 at 7:30 p.m.
