Everyone knows Valentine’s Day falls on February 14. It’s been ingrained in us since we were wee little ones, bringing Valentines covered with our favorite characters to school to place in homemade decorated shoeboxes, and if your friends were really special, they’d get a piece of chocolate attached, too.

But now we’re older. Gone are the tacky Valentines that still make me smile today. In their place, grown-up cards and date night with my special person.

But don’t forget your girls!

Thanks to Amy Poehler’s character Leslie Knope on the hit TV series “Parks and Recreation,” the emergence of Galentine’s Day on February 13 has become a celebrated tradition. This day is set aside to celebrate the strong women in our lives (old and new), our friendships with them and allows us to show our appreciation.

So bring your tribe to Grapevine and celebrate!

Raise A Glass
