“All right stop
Collaborate and listen
Ice is back with a brand new” – theme, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas!

‘90s hip hop artist Vanilla Ice isn’t the only one talking about ice this winter. Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas®, is home to Texas’ largest ICE! event at Gaylord Texan Resort. Before you experience the 14,000-square-foot winter wonderland, explore our tips to make your visit to ICE! even more magical.

Tip 1: Dress Warm
In order to keep the beautiful hand-carved sculptures and holiday scenes chilled, ICE! is kept at a wintry 9 degrees. Be sure to dress warm! The resort provides complimentary parkas, however they do not have pockets. Be sure to bring your own gloves to keep your fingers warm. If you get chilly easily, pack a scarf and hat or ear muffs. This is Texas, so boots are always a good idea. Flat, closed-toe shoes are recommended

Tip 2: Come Thirsty
Adults 21 and up can enjoy “On the Blocks”, a bar made completely out of ice located within the attraction. A mixologist will serve cocktails in glasses made of ice too. This is a great pit stop for adults looking to enjoy one of the coolest bars in town. Drinks not included in the price of tickets.

Tip 3: Be Ready For An Adventure
One of the most unique things about ICE! is the ability to be a part of the exhibit. In addition to walking through the attraction, guests can also slide down five, two-story tall ice slides, duck through igloos and more.

Tip 4: Pack Your Camera
Don’t forget your camera. ICE! is full of one-of-a-kind photo opportunities that you won’t want to miss. FYI your camera lens may fog when entering and exiting the attraction. If this happens, don’t worry. Just wait five to ten minutes for your camera to adjust to the low temperatures and it should clear up on its own!

Tip 4: But Wait, There’s More
Gaylord Texan Resort has tons of activities going on in addition to ICE! as part of the 14th Annual Lone Star Christmas. The atrium is decorated with millions of twinkling lights and larger-than-life decorations. Additional festive activities include Glacier Glide Ice Skating Rink, Snow Tubing, Gingerbread Decorating Corner, Cookies with Mrs. Claus, Build-A-Bear Workshop® Scavenger Hunt, Pictures with Santa and more!

This is just the tip (of the iceberg), check it out for yourself November 10, 2017 – January 1, 2018. Tickets can be purchased at www.GaylordTexan.com.
