Travel millions of years into the past this summer as Historic Grapevine transforms into Prehistoric Grapevine until August 31. Roam through the Be the Dinosaur exhibit at the Grapevine Tower Gallery, dig for dino fossils at Historic Nash Farm, catch classic dinosaur cartoons at Historic Palace Theatre, explore dino history with special guest speakers at the Grapevine Public Library and see where dinosaurs once roamed aboard Grapevine Vintage Railroad and from 150 feet in the air at Tales from the Tower at Grapevine Observation Tower. Grapevine Vintage Railroad Regular Weekend Excursions
Step back in time with a nostalgic ride on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad! Enjoy complimentary parking in Grapevine’s Historic District.
- Bear Creek Short Line Excursion: This excursion departs the Cotton Belt Depot in Grapevine at 10:20 a.m. on Saturdays. The entire family will enjoy this one-hour-long true railroad experience with live entertainment before returning back to Grapevine. Tickets range from $10 - $12.
- Cotton Belt Route Excursion: The Historic Cotton Belt Route takes riders from Grapevine to the Stockyards with live entertainment along the way. Once the train arrives in the Stockyards, riders have time to explore before re-boarding to return to Grapevine. This train is recurring on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. – 7:15 p.m. Tickets range from $18 - $72.
