The British Emporium presents
A HARD NIGHT'S DAY
A Beatles Tribute concert
For the last 25 years, The British Emporium has been the premier resource in North Texas for British groceries, gifts, teapots and pop culture items. The store will celebrate its Silver Anniversary with a concert by local Beatles tribute band, “A Hard Night’s Day” at 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 24 at the Historic Palace Theatre in Downtown Grapevine.
Over the course of two hours, guests will travel down “Abbey Road” with memories of their favorite Beatles tunes, complete with costumes straight out of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. “A Hard Night’s Day” has been a local favorite for nearly 24 years, playing at venues throughout Dallas/Fort Worth, as well as across the globe, including the Cavern Club in Liverpool, where it all began for The Beatles.
The Palace Theatre is a vintage theatre reminiscent of those found throughout the United Kingdom. To further enhance the nostalgic feeling of this setting, the concession stand will feature a few hard-to-find favorite British treats such as chocolates, biscuits, candy and more.
The staff at The British Emporium has been actively involved in the local community during the store’s 25 years of business through events, fundraising and participation in local organizations. They earnestly believe in supporting Grapevine since its residents and visitors have contributed to the store’s success over the years. Through this philosophy, they plan to donate proceeds from the anniversary events to GRACE, a Grapevine-based nonprofit relief agency that provides food, clothing, financial assistance and other vital necessities to those in need in the local community.
On-line ticket sales close at midnight the night before the show. If you would like to purchase tickets the day of the show, you can do so at the Palace Box Office beginning one hour prior to show time. Please call the Palace Arts Center Ticketline at 817-410-3100 for more information. What's Nearby
