Grapevine CVB Event Updates

At the advisement of Tarrant County Health Department and City of Grapevine officials, the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau, Grapevine Vintage Railroad, Palace Arts Center, Grapevine Convention Center and Grapevine Concourse have made the decision to cancel all events through Tuesday, March 31.  We will continue to update this page as needed.

EVENTS

Q: What City of Grapevine events are canceled?
A: At the advisement of Tarrant County Health Department and City of Grapevine officials, the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau, Grapevine Vintage Railroad, Palace Arts Center, Grapevine Convention Center and Grapevine Concourse have made the decision to cancel all events through Tuesday, March 31.

The following programs, events, and/or venues are closed and will be reassessed in two weeks (March 27, 2020):

CLOSED:
- Grapevine Public Library - Drive-thru will remain open to pick-up items on reserve and for returns
- The REC of Grapevine
- All city organized/sponsored youth sports suspended
- Community Outreach Center (and programs)
- Municipal Golf Course
- Museums
- Convention Center
- Palace Theater

CANCELED:
- Municipal Court Hearings
- All Board meetings are canceled except for the Tuesday, March 17 City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission meeting
- Special event train excursions
- Rental Facilities
- All parks and recreation facility and pavilion rentals are canceled

Q: Are refunds available for ticketholders?
A: Individuals or groups who have purchased tickets to any of our events during this period of time will be issued an automatic refund to the credit card used to purchase tickets within five (5) business days.
Q: Where will upcoming event dates be announced?
A: As soon as there is a better grasp on the situation, we will announce upcoming event dates via our social media outlets and on our website, GrapevineTexasUSA.com.

CONVENTIONS/CONFERENCES

Q: Will the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau cancel a conference or convention I’m planning to attend?
A: The decision to cancel or postpone a convention or conference in Grapevine is at the discretion of each respective organization. We advise checking on event status with the event organizer.

Q: Are the Grapevine Visitors Shuttles running?

Q: What flights are canceled at DFW Airport?
A: DFW Airport is one of 13 U.S. airports identified by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to screen passengers for COVID-19. Get the latest updates at dfwairport.com/covid19.
Q: Is Trinity Metro running?
A: There are currently no service interruptions and all of our transportation services are on regular schedule. Updated information can be found at ridetrinitymetro.org and 1+817-215-8600.

COVID-19 QUESTIONS

Q: Where can I find information on COVID-19 symptoms and prevention?
A: For more information on symptoms and prevention, please visit the CDC's website.
Q: Is there a resource that offers assistance with non-medical related COVID-19 information for Grapevine residents?
A: A COVID-19 hotline is managed by city staff from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The “Grapevine Cares” hotline at 1+817-410-4455 is a resource that offers assistance with non-medical City related COVID-19 information. Citizens calling this number after standard operating hours may leave a detailed message and a staff member will return their phone call.

Rules

“Spirit of the Monarch”
Kids Art Contest Rules

1. Students in grades K-1 are eligible to enter the contest as Sprouting Artists, in grades 2-3 as Budding Artists, and grades 4-5 as Blooming Artists.

2. Entries should be completed by students with minimal parental assistance.

3. To qualify for judging the student must follow these rules:

a)  Entries must be no larger than 2MB File Size.

b) The contest theme “Spirit of the Monarch” must be written on the front of the entry.

c)  Entries must be flat – no 3D artwork.

d) Use crayons, markers, paints, water color, etc.

4. Entries will be judged for originality, design, slogan, artwork and overall effectiveness of the message.

5. Entries should be submitted by Monday, October 5, 2020.

6. Entries will be displayed on the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau website, GrapevineTexasUSA.com. Contest winners will be announced prior to Saturday, October 17 during the virtual Butterfly Flutterby event and will also be notified through email.

7. Winning entries for each grade level will be awarded a First, Second, Third or Honorable Mention prize, as well as one Grand Prize Winner in each group – Sprouting Artists, Budding Artists and Blooming Artists.

8. All entries may be used for future publications, exhibits and social media at the discretion of the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau.
