Save the date for the 33rd Annual GrapeFest® - A Texas Wine Experience, presented by Bank of the West set for September 12, 13, 14 & 15 of 2019!

The juice and feet were flying at the daily GrapeStomp competitions at the 32nd Annual GrapeFest®. Four-time defending champions Lam and Jorge Bermeo, both from Dallas, won the Coveted Purple Foot Award for the fifth year in a row. Throughout the festival, teams of two stomped 18 pounds of grapes for two minutes. Under the team name Awesome & Awesomer, the Bermeos (pictured, below) stomped 47.5 ounces in the Grand Champion StompOff.

32nd Annual GrapeFest GrapeStomp Winners

The 2018 Celebrity Mayoral GrapeStomp, sponsored by Tom Thumb/Albertsons, featured nine teams from across North Texas including Bedford, Combine, Euless, Grapevine, Forest Hill, Haslet, Hurst, Irving and North Richland Hills, as well as teams from Grapevine’s Sister City of Parras de la Fuente, Mexico and West Lothian, Scotland. The winners of the Most Juice Stomped Award, with 29 ounces, was the team from North Richland Hills, featuring Councilman Scott and Tiffany Turnadge. Some of the other winners included the team from Bedford, which won the Cleanest Foot Award and the team from Parras de la Fuente, Mexico which won the Tip Toe Through the Grapes Award. Sporting bright green wigs, the team from Forest Hill was featured on the local evening news and they were also a hit on social media.

Grab your girlfriends, your significant other or even your co-workers to squish and stomp at the ever-popular GrapeStomp, sponsored by Tom Thumb & Albertsons.

So, just how fast can your feet fly at GrapeStomp? Two-person teams create their own special "I Love Lucy" moment and take turns stomping approximately 18 pounds of grapes for two minutes. Teams that stomp the most juice are eligible to participate in the Grand Championship StompOff on Sunday, September 16 at 4 p.m. GrapeStomp is great fun for the whole family. You might even try to step up to the GrapeStomp challenge. Sessions are held throughout the weekend and fill up quickly so get there early to register. 

Children ages 13 and under can stomp for free. The GrapeStomp stage is located near Grapevine City Hall at the intersection of Main and West Wall Street. Winners will be awarded the coveted and sought-after "Purple Foot" award. 

GrapeStomp Schedule: (sessions occur every half hour at the following times):

Thursday, September 13: 
4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.; Daily Stomp-Off at 8 p.m.

Friday, September 14: 
2 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.; Daily Stomp-Off at 8 p.m.

Saturday, September 15: 
2 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.; Daily Stomp-Off at 8 p.m.

Sunday, September 16: 
12 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.; Daily Stomp-Off at 8 p.m.; Grand Champion Stomp-Off at 4 p.m.

Special Events:
  • Mayoral GrapeStomp on Saturday, September 15 at 11 a.m.
