Kim McPherson created the McPherson Cellars label in 2000 to honor his father, Dr. Clinton "Doc" McPherson, the co-founder of Llano Estacado. In 2008, Kim converted the historic 1930's era Coca-Cola bottling plant in downtown Lubbock into the home of McPherson Cellars. The winery focuses on French, Rhone, Italian and Spanish varietals. Kim is listed as number 20 of the Top 100 Most Influential US Winemakers and McPherson Cellars is listed as number 87 on the top 101 US Wineries for 2014.
