Cotton Belt Carnival

Location: Cotton Belt Railroad Historic District (705 S. Main St.)

Time: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Cost: FREE

Kick off the start of Camp Main Street at the Cotton Belt Carnival before jumping on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad for a one-hour train excursion. Inflatable carnival-style games will keep everyone having fun throwing foam axes or seeing who can throw a baseball the fastest. Make sure to stop by the galleries and working artist studios.

This adorable aquatic craft kit is fin-tastic fun to assemble. Featuring a clownfish, a yellow-finned blue tang and more, this colorful reef pipe cleaner craft offers underwater exploration to learn about the ocean and coral reefs for the first time. We will be offering space to create the craft in the Lancaster Theatre or they can make them at home.

Unicorn Crafts

Activity participants can make this unbelievably cute Mini Unicorn Banner Craft! Little guests go crazy over unicorn crafts and this one is as cute as they come! An awesome kids’ craft for mystical believers of all ages. Participants will also be able to show off their imagination by creating their own unicorn crown, complete with unicorn tusks. We will be offering space to create the craft in the Lancaster or they can make them at home.

Once Upon a Time, presented by Theatre Arlington, is a six-week program of engaging activities for kids. All programs are ideal for ages 2-6. The Show in a Box performances and activities would be great for ages up to 9. Tickets are $6 per event.

Find any of the 20 QR codes hidden on various store fronts and locations on Main Street. Once a QR code is found, scan and complete the activity. For example: Complete 10 squats for a free sample or solve a children’s riddle for a coupon to Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites™! This is not only fun and safe for the whole family, but also a way to bring business to Historic Main Street.
