Step back in time with a nostalgic ride on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, formerly known as the Tarantual Train. The railroad is serviced by two Victorian-style locomotives, including "Puffy" the 1896 steam locomotive, the oldest continuously operating steam engine in the South, and "Vinny," a 1953 GP-7 diesel locomotive. Most weekends throughout the year, The Grapevine Vintage Railroad travels along the historic Cotton Belt Route between Grapevine and the Fort Worth Stockyards. The 21-mile trip rolls at a leisurely pace and is perfect for the entire family.
Special events also highlight the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Experiences such as Day Out With ThomasTM, the Easter Train, Great Train Robberies, North Pole Express and more are fun events for the whole family. Throughout the year, guests 21 and up can enjoy a host of wine-related activities aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Several times a year, events such as the Jazz Wine Train, the Easter Bunny Train and the Christmas Wine Train sell out quickly so buy your tickets early!
Due to mechanical requirements, engine and equipment changes may occur without notice.
