Notice: Fun Trains, trains to the Fort Worth Stockyards and the Stockyards Trinity River Train ride will not operate on Saturday, March 21; Saturday, April 11; Sunday, April 12; Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 due to special events.

The Grapevine Vintage Railroad offers three excursions during most of the year: 

Round Trip Grapevine to the Historic Stockyards

The train to the Stockyards operates Saturday and Sunday most weekends throughout the year. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Grapevine Vintage Railroad also operates on Fridays.

The train departs Grapevine at 1 p.m. and arrives in the Stockyards at approximately 2:30 p.m. The return trip departs the Stockyards at 4:15 p.m. and arrives in Grapevine at approximately 5:45 p.m.

Stockyards Trinity River Ride

The Stockyards Trinity River Ride is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from February 14 through May 23 and September 29 through November 22.  The train operates Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May 29, 2015 to August 31, 2015.

Grapevine Fun Trains - Friday & Saturday

The Grapevine fun trains are a one hour excursion departing Grapevine on Fridays at 10 a.m. during the months of June and July and, on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. during the months of February, March, April, May, September, October and November. There are no Fun Trains operating in August.

The railroad is serviced by two locomotives, including "Puffy" the 1896 steam locomotive, the oldest continuously operating steam engine in the South and "Vinny," a 1953 GP-7 diesel locomotive.

Note: Due to mechanical requirements, engine and equipment changes may occur without notice. The 1896 steam locomotive, "Puffy," is in service on the first Saturday of most months throughout the year, as well as specially advertised excursions. The 1953 diesel locomotive, "Vinny," is used for the regularly scheduled weekly service.
