Bring the entire family, even your pets, to celebrate the migration of the monarch butterfly from Canada to Mexico by way of Grapevine. The 18th Annual Butterfly Flutterby is a free, family-friendly event and will be held at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. Butterfly Releases will take place at 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. 

The day begins with a Butterfly Costume Parade that starts at East Wall and Jenkins Streets. Registration for the Costume Parade begins at 8:45 a.m. Pets are welcome to participate. The Costume Parade begins at 10 a.m. in the lot at East Wall and Jenkins Streets and ends at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens.  There will be prizes awarded for best costume in different age groups. 

After the parade, participate in butterfly crafts, butterfly exhibits, the Migration Station, interactive games, a scavenger hunt, face painting and other activities in the Botanical Gardens. Refreshments are available for purchase. 

Also on October 17, visitors are invited to the Fall Round-Up at Nash Farm from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and the Grapevine Garden Club's Plant Sale at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Don't miss the Sunset Concert Series at 7 p.m. at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens.
