Bring the entire family, even your pets, to celebrate the migration of the monarch butterfly from Canada to Mexico by way of Grapevine. The 19th Annual Butterfly Flutterby is a free, family-friendly event and will be held at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens.

Butterfly Releases at Grapevine Botanical Gardens will take place at the following times:

The day begins with a Butterfly Costume Parade that starts at East Wall and Jenkins Streets. Registration for the Costume Parade begins at 8:45 a.m. Pets are welcome to participate. The Costume Parade begins at 10 a.m. in the lot at East Wall and Jenkins Streets and ends at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. 
There will be prizes awarded for best costume in different age groups.


After the parade, participate in butterfly crafts, butterfly exhibits, the Migration Station, interactive games, a scavenger hunt, face painting and other activities in the Botanical Gardens. Refreshments and light snacks will be available for purchase.

Be sure to also check out the Grapevine/Colleyville Independent School District's Art Contest submissions on display. Children from kindergarten through fifth grade submitted pieces which demonstrate their understanding of how to make the world better and more beautiful through original drawings.

Also on October 15, visitors are invited to the Fall Round-Up at Nash Farm from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and the Grapevine Garden Club's Plant Sale at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Don't miss the Sunset Concert Series at 7 p.m. at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens.
