This 1940s-era treasure brings you the best of vintage style paired with top-notch entertainment. From the nostalgic First Friday Film Series to live concerts and seasonal favorites, you can celebrate everything from classic movies to live tributes to music legends.
All year long, you’ll find something to enjoy. There are tribute shows, family-friendly flicks and special performances tied to big festivals like GrapeFest®, Main Street Fest – A Timeless Texas Tradition and the Christmas Capital of Texas® events.
Once home to the Buckner Cash Grocery and Buckner Dry Goods store in the 1930s, the Lancaster Theatre has transformed into a space full of warmth and personality. You can bring the kids for Cartoons & Crafts, settle in for a small concert or join in on storytime and children’s films. It’s the perfect spot for families, school groups and fun outings. As you explore, don’t miss the rotating art shows featuring local artists, with their work displayed on the walls throughout the Palace Arts Center.
If you’re planning something special, both theaters are available for private rentals and offer a distinctive setting that you and your guests will love. From weddings and receptions to corporate gatherings and celebrations, the spaces give your event a vintage flair you won’t find anywhere else.
Parking is easy with plenty of free options along Historic Main Street.
