38th Annual GrapeFest A Texas Wine Experience: Entertainment

AMERICAN IDOL WINNER AND LAS VEGAS LEGEND TO HEADLINE 38TH ANNUAL GRAPEFEST – A TEXAS WINE EXPERIENCE
The four-day festival takes place September 12, 13, 14 and 15 in Grapevine, Texas.
 

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (August 31, 2024) – The 38th Annual GrapeFest – A Texas Wine Experience presented by Bank of the West is proud to announce this year’s entertainment lineup!
Former American Idol winner Taylor Hicks will headline the Grapevine Mills Main Stage on Friday night, September 13. Back in 2006, it was a historic moment in TV history when more than 200 million people watched Hicks win the 5th season of American Idol. He continues to entertain audiences all over the world with shows that feature a blend of soul, blues, country and rock and roll. His recent records have drawn comparisons to artists like Jackson Brown, Chris Stapleton and Tyler Childers. Hicks is now a staple in the Grand Ole Opry, television, film and theater and even toured as the Teen Angel in the Broadway musical Grease.


Las Vegas Icon Frankie Moreno, and his own brand of genre-blurring rock and roll, will headline Saturday night, September 14. Moreno has five Number One albums and has won Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year five times, no easy fete! His captivating Boogie-woogie piano style and electric energy has earned him fans all around the world and he can’t wait to bring his show to GrapeFest.


There will be live music on four stages all weekend featuring exciting tribute bands including Reputation: A Taylor Swift Tribute, Animals: A Maroon 5 Tribute and Warehouse: A Dave Matthews Tribute. The Bishop String Trio will perform pop songs set to classical music and The Inspiration Band will have people on their feet! For the full entertainment lineup, click here.


While you’re grooving to the music, don’t forget to explore the fantastic wine experiences. Savor award-winning wines from Texas and international vineyards, including Barossa Valley, Australia; Krems, Austria; and Parras, Mexico, at the International Wine Experience sponsored by Gaylord Texan Resort. Wine lovers won’t want to miss the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic sponsored by Audi Grapevine, where they will help crown the top Texas wines during ten tasting sessions, five of them VIP. There is also Rosé Rendezvous at the Town Square Gazebo featuring rosés from Landon Winery, Messina Hof Winery and Housewife Rebellion and bubbly at Champagne Terrace sponsored by Hilton DFW Lakes. Wineries on the Urban Wine Trail will also be open for business.

For those looking to take their wine knowledge to the next level, join the Barossa Premium Wine Experience and Master Class with Dean Hewitson of Hewitson Estate, where you can earn a Barossa Wine Expert certification. Food lovers can learn how to pair delicious dishes with carefully selected wine varietals in the Wine and Food Pairing Seminars.

Beyond the music and wine, indulge in mouthwatering festival foods, including new offerings like Smackin Mac and Cheese, Del Campo Empanadas, and Granny Dee’s Pierogis. The artisan marketplace will feature unique vendors and artists, perfect for shopping and souvenirs.
