ENJOY GRAPEVINE’S SPOOK-TACULAR HALLOWEEN EVENTS

A variety of Halloween events throughout Historic Downtown Grapevine

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (October 19, 2018) – From train rides and wine trails to scary stories and more, look no further than Grapevine for a spook-tacular time and Halloween fun.

On Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., kids all ages can enjoy a sweet treat aboard the Trick ‘R Treat trains. Hone those trick-or-treat skills in time for Halloween and enjoy treats on the train. These excursions are one-hour long, and do not travel to the Fort Worth Stockyards. Tickets are $14 per person. Ghouls and boys of all ages will enjoy Bewitched by the Barn at Grapevine’s Historic Nash Farm on Saturday, October 27 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. This family-friendly event features stories that become scarier as the night progresses. Turn up the heat this Halloween at Vetro Glassblowing Studio's Hand-Blown Help Create Pumpkin Workshops, Fridays and Saturdays, October 5 through October 27. Choose from six color mixes and use fire to create a hand-blown glass pumpkin with the expertise of the artisans at Vetro Glassblowing Studio. Wear a costume on Friday and leave with a treat – and that’s not a trick! The cost is $60 per pumpkin and advance reservations are required. Creep into fall with the Settlement to City Museums from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on October 31 for some tricky fun during their Historic Halloween. Festivities include crafts, games and spook-tacular fun. This October, learn about Grapevine’s paranormal past on the Grapevine Night Watchman Tour, presented by Grape Vine Springs Winery. A blend of hauntings and history, the tour features tales about Main Street, such as the infamous bank robbery of 1932 and a haunted winery tasting room. Beginning at Grape Vine Springs Winery, the walking tour lasts 90-minutes through Grapevine and concludes with a complimentary glass of wine upon returning to the winery (21 and up only). Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for students and seniors and $10 for children under 12. Tours are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., with a special tour on Halloween. Grapevine’s Palace Theatre hosts classic Halloween-themed movies all month long. Enjoy dinner at a Grapevine restaurant before the show and receive a free small popcorn with a same-day receipt. Tickets are $6. The Palace Theatre is located at 300 S. Main St. in the heart of Historic Downtown Grapevine. The upcoming movie schedule includes:

  • “Batman,” October 20, 7:30 p.m. Rated PG-13 (1989);

Get into the spirit along the 10th Annual Hallo-Wine Trail, Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. This event includes three tastings and food samplings at each participating winery and a commemorative wine glass. Costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $50 in advance, $55 at the door. Advance purchase is recommended, as tickets are limited. Guests must be 21 and up. Little monsters will have a BOO-rific time at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center with the return of Brick-Or-Treat, October 20, 21, 27 and 28. Build a spooky pumpkin and add it to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Pumpkin Patch made entirely out of LEGO® bricks. Dare to enter the Monster Invasion in MINILAND, a spooky SCARE-venger hunt to find Frankenstein, Godzilla and other monsters. Get ready for frightful fishy fun at SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium with several underwater Halloween adventures. Enjoy a few tricks and a lot of fun treats October 17, 20, 24, 27 and 31 with eerie fish facts and underwater pumpkin carve-offs. For a scary good time, be sure to meet the newest exotic reptiles in Rainforest Adventure, including a legless lizard, hognose snake and crocodiles.
