  • Kids Outdoor School at Hop & Sting Brewing Company: Hop & STEAM Kids Happy Hour will host a Kids Outdoor School event from June 1st – 5th. This week-long adventure is designed to teach rising 3rd, 4th and 5th graders essential survival skills. Outdoor School is an opportunity for kids to unplug and gain some "wild" knowledge!

DINOSAUR ADVENTURES:

  • Dinosaur Quest at Grapevine Tower Gallery: Step into Dinosaur Quest, a walk-through maze adventure where curiosity leads the way and every turn reveals a new discovery. Uncover fossils and facts about dinosaurs as you live large in reptilian role-play activities, undertake three Mesozoic Missions spanning 150 million years and mimic dinosaur behavior. Get a hands-on experience by becoming a junior paleontologist and finding evidence of dinosaurs, stomp through the Triassic Age and compare giants of the Jurassic. Admission is $3, children under two-years-old are free. 
  • Settlement to City Museums: After enjoying Dinosaur Quest, head next door to keep the prehistoric fun going at this free event. Step into a world of prehistoric fun with interactive dino activities at the Settlement to City Museums, including daily puppet shows, special dinosaur crafts and dinosaur story time and books, dinosaur souvenirs and inflatable dinosaurs.
  • Dinos on the Tracks at Grapevine Vintage Railroad: Led by Dr. Rigby Bones and quick-witted Ranger Sam, this family-friendly train excursion is packed with interactive fun from start to finish. It’s full steam ahead as (inflatable) velociraptors roam the aisles, baby triceratops eggs begin to hatch and guests experience a mysterious T-Rex encounter. Along the 90-minute journey, meet life-like dinosaur characters up close, touch real fossils and take the official Junior Dino Explorer Oath. Prices range from $20 – 30 per person.
  • Dino Dig at Historic Nash Farm: At Dino Dig, young explorers can step into the role of 19th-century fossil hunters as they excavate “fossils” from a sandpit dig site. Using real excavation techniques, participants will uncover buried fossils while learning how similar discoveries shaped America's history of dinosaurs. Discover how scientists raced to uncover, name and claim some of the most iconic dinosaur discoveries of the 1800s. Admission is $4, children under three-years-old are free. 
  • Cartoons & Crafts at the Lancaster Theatre: Make a fun dinosaur craft while watching dinosaur cartoons at the Lancaster Theatre on Thursdays at 10 a.m. from June 4 – July 31. Children are $10 (Includes craft, dino mask, small popcorn and souvenir cup), Adults are $4 (Includes a drink).
  • Summer Movie Series at the Historic Palace Theatre: Enjoy classic children’s movies, including some dinosaur themed ones, every Tuesday and Wednesday June 2 – July 29 at the Historic Palace Theatre. Tickets are $5 per person.

HERITAGE ACTIVITIES:

  • Historic Nash Farm: Nash Farm offers free daily self-guided tours of the original 1869 Farmhouse and barn. Guests can also enjoy low cost special Summer events including the Dairy Exhibition and Ice Cream Social on June 6, 2026, as well as cheesemaking and jam & jellies workshops.
  • Grapevine Vintage Railroad: All aboard Grapevine Vintage Railroad! Ride the rails in 1920’s-era coaches with 90-minute excursions or day trips to the Historic Stockyards, where you can see the cattle drive. While you’re heading to the Stockyards, enjoy a live show onboard.

  • July 4th America250 Golden Jubilee Fireworks Show: Enjoy a classic Summer tradition on the shores of Lake Grapevine! This year's Fireworks Extravaganza will be dedicated to the 50 years of leadership from Grapevine’s Honorable Mayor William D. Tate and America250. Catch the show from the beach, the parks or even from a boat on the lake. Most Lake Grapevine parks will require a $20 per vehicle fee on July 4.
