GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (July 29, 2026) – Their sentence has been served. Grapevine's famous Would-Be Train Robbers, Nat Barrett and Willy Majors, have been released from behind bars following major technological upgrades to the Grapevine Glockenspiel. Visitors can now watch the notorious pair emerge from the 75-foot tower several times each day to settle their Wild West rivalry.
One of the only attractions of its kind in North America, the Grapevine Glockenspiel, puts a Texas spin on the traditional European clock tower. As the clock strikes the hour, the legendary would-be robbers, Nat & Willy, make their dramatic appearance on the balcony to settle a score that began in 1890.
As the story goes, both fictional characters met in Grapevine with the same goal - to rob a train carrying $60,000 (about $2.2 million by today’s standards). The arrival of the railroad put Nat, a young cowboy, out of work and it also took passengers away from the riverboats where gambler Willy would get his money. They both want to start a new life, but when they discover they're after the very same prize, an old-fashioned showdown begins.
The lively performance featuring 9’ tall animatronic characters delivers plenty of laughs while reminding everyone that crime doesn't pay!

Where: 636 S. Main Street (Viewing Plaza at the corner of Main and Hudgins Streets)

Please note: If wind gusts are forecast to exceed 25 mph beginning 30 minutes before a scheduled performance, Nat and Willy will remain safely inside the tower.
