GRAPEVINE, Texas (August 17, 2026) – September brings a full calendar of events and experiences to Grapevine, from the 40th Annual GrapeFest® – A Texas Wine Experience and ItalianCarFest™ to live music, wine and dinner experiences, hands-on workshops, vintage train rides, historic attractions and family-friendly activities.

 

SEPTEMBER FESTIVALS

40th Annual GrapeFest Raise a glass at the highly anticipated GrapeFest® – A Texas Wine Experience presented by Bank of the West. GrapeFest returns for four days featuring exceptional wine encounters and exciting festivities. There are a variety of annual events, special wine tastings and kid-friendly activities across four days when Historic Main Street closes to vehicular traffic for the Largest Wine Festival in the Southwest.

22nd Annual ItalianCarFestTM  It’s the annual prelude to GrapeFest and the largest show of premier Italian automobiles in the Southwest. There will be more than 90 modern and classic vehicles.

Grapevine Main LIVE! - Grapevine Main LIVE! returns to Peace Plaza Friday and Saturday nights in September at 7:30 p.m., offering an evening of live music under the stars. Set against the stunning backdrop of Grapevine Main Station, this complimentary concert series features an exciting lineup of tribute bands and talented artists.

J's Dueling Pianos at Third Rail Bar is an all request, sing-along show with a taste of comedy, laced with some well-deserved attitude and overloaded with some in-your-face rock ‘n’roll.

Big Daddy’s Cantina at Scott’s Landing Marina Catch live music Friday and Saturday nights at Big Daddy’s Patio, where live performances pair with views of Lake Grapevine.

Tolbert’s Restaurant & Chili Parlor Enjoy live music every night of the week on the stage at Tolbert’s on Historic Main Street, featuring everything from acoustic singer-songwriters and tribute performances to sax, soul and R&B musicians.

Willhoite’s Restaurant Enjoy live music weekly on Wednesdays through Sundays at the location of the original service station in Grapevine. Their stage was once host to many now-famous bands including The Chicks, Pat Green, Jack Ingram and LeFreak.

Ian Montez’s Tribute to Buddy Holly Get ready to rock and roll all night long with Ian Montez as he pays tribute to the legendary Buddy Holly.

VINTAGE TRAIN RIDES

Grapevine Vintage Railroad Regular Weekend Excursions Step back in time with a nostalgic ride on Grapevine Vintage Railroad! Enjoy complimentary parking in Grapevine’s Historic District and dine, shop and enjoy wine on Historic Main Street afterward.

  • Bear Creek Short Line Excursion: This one-hour excursion departs from the Cotton Belt Depot in Grapevine at 10:20 a.m. on Saturdays. Tickets range from $10 - $12.
  • Cotton Belt Route Excursion: Travel between Historic Grapevine and the Historic Stockyards with live entertainment along the way. Once the train arrives in the Stockyards, riders have time to explore before re-boarding to return to Grapevine. Happening Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. – 7:15 p.m. Tickets range from $18 - $72.
  • Planes & Trains Guided Tour: This three-part tour begins at the Grapevine Visitor Information Center. You’ll visit the top of the Grapevine Observation Tower, enjoy a one-hour excursion on Grapevine Vintage Railroad and visit the 9/11 Memorial and Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation area. Tickets are $22.

Labor Day Train: Enjoy a classic rail journey on Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s Cotton Belt Route Excursion on Labor Day. This round-trip experience departs from Grapevine and travels along the Historic Cotton Belt Route between Grapevine and the Historic Stockyards in Fort Worth.

HISTORIC NASH FARM EVENTS

First Fridays: Gadgets and Gears Discover the gadgets and gears used to make farm work easier in the 1800s on the Grape Vine Prairie. You’ll take a spin on the hand-crank sewing machine, help make chicken feed with the corn-grinder, create your own buzz saw toy to take home.

Printing the Past Inside the 1888 Keeling House, you’ll explore how a small pioneer settlement grew into the vibrant destination it is today. Then create your own keepsake on the working 1881 Chandler & Price Press.
