Texas Women’s Open to Stay in Grapevine Through 2031

GRAPEVINE, Texas (August 21, 2026) – After three successful years of the Destination Grapevine Texas Women’s Open, the partnership between the Northern Texas PGA and Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau has been extended for an additional five years. The tournament has quickly become the largest state women’s open in the United States, with participation more than doubling in just three years in Grapevine.

The field grew from 46 professionals representing 12 countries and 15 states in 2024 to 106 professionals representing 19 countries and 28 states in 2026. The surge in interest even prompted the addition of a play-in qualifier event ahead of the 2026 championship.

Grapevine additions, including a Texas-sized leaderboard displayed on a jumbotron and custom painted cowboy boots for the champion, have added to the excitement and given the tournament a distinctly Texas feel.

The Texas Women’s Open has a storied history showcasing rising stars and accomplished professionals while inspiring the next generation of female golfers. Since moving to Grapevine in 2024, the tournament has crowned three champions:

  • 2026 - Sera Hasegawa – Japan
  • 2025 - Sadie Englemann – Texas
  • 2024 - Maddie Szeryk – Canada

“We have a tremendous partner and title sponsor of the Destination Grapevine Texas Women’s Open in the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau,” said Mark Harrison, CEO of the Northern Texas PGA. “We feel like we’ve found a true home for the tournament right here in Grapevine. We look forward to bringing the Texas Women’s Open to the Grapevine Golf Course for many years to come.”

The Destination Grapevine partnership also supports the next generation of golfers and students. Each year, one $5,000 college scholarship is awarded to a Grapevine ISD High School Senior. Destination Grapevine will also serve as title sponsor of the Destination Grapevine Junior Texas Women’s Open as part of the All-American Tour.

The Destination Grapevine Texas Women’s Open will return to Grapevine Golf Course June 2 - 4, 2027. Admission is complimentary for spectators, offering fans the opportunity to watch some of the country’s top women golfers compete at one of Texas’ premier public golf courses.
