Dig Up a World of Fun

Step into the shoes of a paleontologist at the Dino-Dig in the Grapevine Tower Gallery (636 S. Main St.). Unearth hidden dinosaur bones, pose with a mighty T-Rex and dive deep into the fascinating world of the Cretaceous period. For just $1, you can explore the ancient Western Interior Seaway and learn about the dinosaurs that once roamed North Texas.

Every Saturday in June, join Grapevine's own Fossil Hunter, Murray Cohen, for Dino Talks. Cohen, who made headlines with his dinosaur jawbone discovery at Lake Grapevine, will share his fossil-hunting adventures and paleontology secrets.

All Aboard the Dino Train!

Discover the fascinating history of dinosaur tracks in Grapevine while riding on the tracks aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Our Dinos on the Tracks excursion lets guests travel back to the Age of Dinosaurs. Running Fridays from June 14th to July 19th, these excursions feature fun activities, special narrations by Dr. Ron Tykoski from the Perot Museum and even fossils and educational presentations. Catch a Dinosaur Movie at the Palace Theatre

Dinosaur Thursdays at the Historic Palace Theatre bring classic dino flicks to the big screen. Enjoy kid-friendly movies every Thursday at 10 a.m. for just $5. Here's the lineup:

  • Texas in the Cretaceous – Discover local dinosaurs and learn how to become a fossil hunter.
