Grapevine Summer Getaway

Are you looking for a quick summer getaway the entire family will enjoy? There’s no shortage of things to do from historic experiences to yummy eats and fun attractions the whole family will love.

Experience world-class shopping at Grapevine Mills and take your family on an immersive and interactive art experience at the brand-new Meow Wolf Grapevine. There’s also the LEGOLAND Discovery Center where kids can create countless designs while also exploring some incredible professional creations. Grapevine is also home to SEA LIFE GRAPEVINE which lets your family explore animals under the sea, including live interaction with endangered sea turtles. You can also meet a mermaid! Performances will take place Thursdays through Sundays and Memorial Day from May 24th through June 9th.

Meow Wolf Exhibit

Has the summer heat got you down? Find some relief at Paradise Springs at the Gaylord Texan Resort. The massive water park features a 10-acre outdoor pool, a 600-foot lazy river and four waterslides. You can also check out the 80,000-square-foot indoor water park at Great Wolf Lodge which includes a lazy river and numerous winding water slides.

All Tracks Lead to Grapevine – A Dinosaur Experience

Calling all dino enthusiasts! Grapevine transforms into a prehistoric paradise this summer with "All Tracks Lead to Grapevine," featuring a dinosaur dig, towering T-Rex replica, and educational exhibits at the Tower Gallery (admission $1). Step back in time on Grapevine Vintage Railroad's "Dinos on the Tracks" narrated by a paleontologist, or soar through time with educational programs at the Observation Tower ($3) and at the Grapevine Public Library. The Historic Palace Theatre is getting in on the fun as well with dinosaur-themed movies Thursdays throughout the summer ($5). Visit GrapevineTexasUSA.com/dinosaurs for more information.
 

Don’t forget about the very walkable Historic Main Street where you can explore locally-owned shops, galleries and restaurants. While strolling the beautiful downtown area, you can cool off at Hip Pop with a variety of popsicles, slushies and shaved ice. Cool off with some gelato from the market at Napoli's Italian Kitchen or stop into Kilwins for some gourmet ice cream.

Take your family on a trip back in time! The Grapevine Vintage Railroad has classic 1920s-era coaches where you can experience a live performance on every train car. The "Strolling Cowboy Troubadour" is a sing-along, barn dance and cowboy experience wrapped up into one.  Audiences will learn what it was like to be a cowboy in the late 19th century while singing, dancing, and enjoying classic Western songs. The Grapevine Vintage Railroad also offers specialty excursions throughout the summer.

GVRR Sisters

Unearth Grapevine's rich past at Historic Nash Farm, a farmstead dating back to 1859. This living history museum allows you and your family to immerse yourself in 19th-century farm life. Explore the original farmhouse and historic barn while learning about the tools and techniques used by generations of Texas farmers. Nash Farm offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and connect with Grapevine's agricultural heritage, all within the charming confines of our city.
