Golden Jubilee Community Picnic

Grapevine’s Honorable Mayor William D. Tate marked 50 years in office on May 17, 2026 – becoming the longest-serving mayor in Texas history and one of the longest serving in the United States of America.

To mark the actual day of Mayor Tate’s 50 years of service, everyone received free admission to Main Street Fest on Sunday before 1:30 p.m., and there was a FREE community picnic, along with music and international cultural entertainment performances.

The following Main Street restaurants generously offered complimentary picnic lunch boxes to celebrate Mayor Tate's Golden Jubilee (While supplies last. Available on a first come, first served basis):
