Pardoning of the Thanksgiving Turkey & Kickoff to Santa's North Pole Express

WHAT:                  Mayor William D. Tate will pardon Tom T. Turkey from the Thanksgiving dinner table in Grapevine, Texas! This ceremony marks the end of Fall and the start of Christmas in the Christmas Capital of Texas®.

WHEN:                 Monday, November 24
9:40 a.m.             Media Arrival and Set Up
10:00 a.m.           Pardoning Ceremony of Tom T. Turkey begins
10:30 a.m.           Interview opportunities and preview of Santa’s North Pole Express
11:00 a.m.           First North Pole Express® excursion of the season departs

Christmas Capital of Texas representatives will be available for interviews. Spanish language interviews will be available.

Parking can be found at the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau at 636 S. Main Street. Historic Main Street will be close to traffic for the evening’s Carol of Lights event so please enter from the west via Ira E. Woods to E. Hudgins.

The 37^th Annual Carol of Lights, the official kickoff of the Christmas Capital of Texas, presented by Grapevine Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, also takes place on November 24^th from 4 - 8 p.m.
