The Grapevine Vintage Railroad (GVRR) is a family-friendly attraction in Grapevine, Texas where guests can travel along the historic Cotton Belt Route on authentic 1920's-era train coaches.

The train is in operation for 46 weeks out of the year, to the delight of the thousands of passengers that board the Grapevine Vintage Railroad each year. During the January and first half of February train rides pause for annual inspections and maintenance. Between March and June, visitors will be able to enjoy train rides every Saturday and Sunday. By the time summer rolls through the depot, trains will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the months of June, July and August. Be sure to check the website for the most accurate excursion schedule.

As the year starts to end and the days get shorter, the team prepares the railroad for the biggest, most cherished event of the year - Santa's North Pole Express! This family-friendly excursion is a must-see part of the Christmas Capital of Texas. Train excursions are offered most days, beginning the day after Thanksgiving and ending on December 30 as the railroad celebrates the jolliest time of the year!

We couldn’t do it without the help of our friends, including one that has been chugging along the rails for 126 years! The coaches are pulled by two of our four vintage locomotives: an 1896 steam locomotive affectionately called "Puffy"(currently out of service for restoration), a 1953 GP-7 diesel locomotive affectionately called "Vinny", or our twin 1957 FL9 EMD locomotives.
